Private total hip replacements are now available to Canadian residents (including BC residents) in Vancouver!! On March 18th, 2026 Ortho South surgeons Dr. Anthony Costa and Dr. Emmanuel Illical completed the first direct anterior approach total hip replacement surgeries at the Cambie Surgery Centre in Vancouver, BC.
The team at Ortho South, the Specialist Referral Clinic, and the Cambie Surgery Centre all worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone. We at Ortho South are very proud of this amazing accomplishment and look forward to adding private total hip replacements to the growing list of procedures we offer in Vancouver.
